Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 2: Shillong Lajong FC reclaimed the top position in the OC Blue Shillong Premier League 2024 standings with a convincing 4-1 win over Sawmer SC at the SSA Stadium in Polo here.

Lajong took the lead in the 58th minute through Yohaan Benjamin’s goal, followed by an own goal in the 62nd minute that doubled their advantage. Babysunday Marngar converted a penalty in the 72nd minute to seal Lajong’s third goal. Sawmer SC managed to score a consolation goal in the 77th minute through Orestar Sad’s penalty. Lajong added a fourth goal in the 88th minute, courtesy of a heavy deflection from Mebannangkiew Thabah’s shot.
In another match, Laitkor SC and Langsning FC played out an entertaining goalless draw.
