Sangma, took the stage by storm at Syntung village in Mawkynrew block under East Khasi Hills District today. The 16-member village band, comprising local musicians, accompanied him on his guitar-driven performance, leaving the audience spellbound.
Conrad Sangma’s passion for music is no secret, and his performance in Syntung village was a testament to his dedication to the art form. With his guitar in hand, he effortlessly transitioned between soulful melodies and energetic rhythms, captivating the crowd with every strum.
The highlight of the performance came when Conrad Sangma asked the band members to include him as a member of the group, showcasing his humility and love for music. To further support the band, he announced a ₹5 lakh government contribution to purchase new instruments, demonstrating his commitment to nurturing local talent.
Conrad Sangma’s musical journey began during his college days in Delhi, where he formed his own band and honed his guitar-playing skills. His fondness for heavy metal music, particularly Iron Maiden, has been well-documented, and his performance in Syntung village was a reflection of his enduring passion for music.
