Dimapur (Nagaland), July 7: Dimapur police on July 6 apprehended one person identified as Torin Thikhir (25) from Padumpukhuri, Dimapur, for illegal possession of .22 caliber pistol along with three live rounds of ammunition.

According to Dimapur Police, during initial inquiry, the accused disclosed that he had borrowed the pistol from a person in order to woo his girlfriend.
A case has been registered at East Police Station, Dimapur, in this connection.
“He chose the Gun instead of a Rose to woo his girlfriend but the neighborhood was least impressed with
the gun slinging Romeo,” wrote Dimapur Police in its Twitter handle to highlight the arrest.
