Shillong ( Meghalaya), Apr , 28 : Acting on specific tip-off on Thursday , 27 Apr’ 2023, BSF Meghalaya seized cosmetics item including Skin Shine cream worth rupees 31 lakhs from the bordering area of East Jaintia Hills by foiling the attempts of miscreants to smuggle them to Bangladesh.
The consignment was seized by the troops of 172 Bn BSF near BOP- Hangaria, East Jaintia Hills, was dumped in jungle area close to international border meant for smuggling to Bangladesh.

The seized items have been handed over to customs for further disposal.
It may be mentioned that BSF Meghalaya since January 2023 seized cosmetics worth more than Rupees 97 lakhs from the Indo-Bangladesh border of Meghalaya.
