New Delhi , Oct 3 : The Congress on Sunday announced the names of three candidates for the Oct 30 by – polls in the state .
In a press statement , Mukul Wasnik , General Secretary , In charge – CEC announced that Highlander Kharmalki will be the party’s candidate for the Mawryngkneng Assembly seat while Kennedy C. Khyriam will be the party candidate for the Mawphlang Assembly seat .

In Garo Hills , Smt . Hasina Yasmin Mondal will be the party’s candidate for the Rajabala Assembly seat .
The statement also added that all the three names have been approved by the Congress President , Smt .Sonia Gandhi .
