Shillong(Meghalaya), July 15 : The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya has successfully foiled an infiltration attempt by Bangladeshi nationals in the West Garo Hills district. Acting on specific intelligence, alert troops from 22 Bn BSF Meghalaya intercepted three vehicles near Matchokpara on Hill Road and apprehended 26 Bangladeshi nationals who were being facilitated by four Indian touts.
The individuals were attempting to infiltrate into India along State Highway-12 (SH-12). The BSF’s swift action and vigilance led to the successful operation, highlighting the force’s commitment to securing India’s borders and preventing illegal activities.
This latest operation demonstrates the BSF’s continued efforts to intensify security measures along the Bangladesh border in Meghalaya.
