Shillong(Meghalaya), Feb 10: The 87th Meeting of the Brahmaputra Board, chaired by Dr. Ranbir Singh, reviewed ongoing programmes and discussed initiatives for integrated water resources management, flood control, and institutional strengthening in the Brahmaputra and Barak river basins.

The board approved project proposals, including riverbank erosion mitigation, desilting, and landscape development. It also ratified decisions from previous meetings and approved the budget estimate and Annual Action plan for 2026-27.
The next meeting is scheduled in Guwahati.
