Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 16 : 63 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Sunday taking the total number of active cases in the state to 693 .

Among the new cases , 6 cases were from East Khasi Hiils and all general public . Ri -Bhoi district recorded 9 cases ,all general public . West Garo Hills recorded 48 cases out which 39 are from BSF and 9 are general public .
A total of 60 patients were discharged today taking the total number of recovered patients to 655 .
