Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 29 : 43 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Saturday taking the total number of cases in the state to 2,238 .
The active cases stand at 1,238 after a total of 1035 patients were discharged .
Among the new cases , East Khasi Hills reported 26 cases which includes 25 general public and 1 from Armed Forces .

West Garo Hills reported reported 15 new cases which includes 8 general public and 7 from the Armed Forces while South Garo Hills reported 2 cases .
A total of 77 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Centers after recovery today .
So far 10 deaths have been reported in the state due to Covid -19 .
