Shillong( Meghalaya), Jan 21 : 2 more Covid-19 deaths were reported in the Shillong on Thursday taking the death toll to 146 , according to official sources .
According to Health department sources , one Chaya Paul aged 73 years hailing from Upper Mawprem area of the city was brought dead to NEIGRIHMS here on Jan 18. Later , her post mortem report revealed that she was Covid-19 positive.
Tunu Das aged 61 years from Jorhat, Assam, was admitted to NEIGRIHMS on Jan 17 last . The patient was unconscious and was tested Covid-positive on arrival after suffering from a brain stem bleed.
The patient also had diabetes and hypertension and developed acute kidney injury here . She passed away on Wednesday . The cause of death was due to cardiac arrest ,
Meanwhile , 4 new cases were detected in the state on Thursday . Among them 2 were from East Khasi Hills and 2 from East Jaintia Hills ,
A total of 6 patients were declared recovered today .
The state tally now stands at 13,721 with 129 active cases after a total of 13, 446 patients recovered . The death toll as of now stands at 146.
