Agartala(Tripura), Aug 4 : A 2 -day-old baby has died due to Covid-19 in Tripura, becoming the state’s youngest coronavirus fatality.
The baby was born on Thursday at the Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and her swab sample was collected as her mother was a coronavirus patient.
“The two-day-old girl tested positive for coronavirus and succumbed to the disease at the hospital on Saturday,”
The death toll in Tripura has increased to 27 on Monday.
According to official sources Tripura so far has registered 5,392 COVID19 positives cases.
A total of 70 patients, have been discharged from various hospitals or Covid Care Centres after they tested negative.
With the release of 70 patients on Monday, the total number of recovered patients in Tripura now stands at 3,675.The recovery rate is Tripura 68.38%.
With the demise of 3 more positive patients due to COVID19 infections, the death toll in Tripura has increased to 27 on Monday.
According to official sources Tripura so far has registered 5,392 COVID19 positives cases.

The government here has decided not to continue the ongoing lockdown and there will be no more lockdown in the state from Tuesday .
Tripura chief secretary Manoj Kumar on Monday in an order said that there will be no more lockdown in the state from 5 am on Tuesday.However, lockdown measures will continue in the containment zones.
Tripura has been under total lockdown since 5 am on July 27.
