Shillong ( Meghalaya), May , 12 : Acting on specific tip-off, troops of 110 Bn BSF Meghalaya on Thursday ,11 May 2023, apprehended 2 Bangladeshis inside Indian territory of East Khasi Hills who entered Indian territory illegally with intention of robbery/ theft.
Apprehended Bangladesh nationals revealed their identity as Islam Uddin and Fazer Ali both residents of Companiganj, Bangladesh who had stolen parts of machinery involved in Border Fence construction and had another plan to carry out robbery in bordering Indian villages , too .
Both of them along with stolen items were handed over to Bholaganj Police Station for further course of action .
BSF Meghalaya apprehended 27 Bangladeshis since January who sneaked into India for different nefarious purposes.
