Shillong ( Meghalaya), Oct 3 : 172 fresh Covid cases and two more fatalities were reported in the stare during the last 24 hours .
According to the data shared by the health department , 172 new Covid cases were reported in the state on Sunday with East Khasi Hills on the top with 70 new cases followed by West Khasi Hills with 69 new cases .

Two more patients succumbed to their infections on Sunday taking the death toll to 1,407 .
The two cases were from West Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi district .
180 patients were also discharged on Sunday after full recovery .
The active cases now stand at 1,547.
