Shillong ( Meghalaya), Sept 24 : 1 more Covid death was reported in Shillong today taking the death toll so far to 43 .
The patient , Rishikesh Subba aged 74 years and hailing from Upper Mawprem area was undergoing treatment at NEIGRIHMS since Sept 13 last and passed away this morning due to Type 1 respiratory failure with septic shock and Covid -19 pneumonia .
The state today saw large number of recoveries from Covid-19 at 199 today , with 124 new cases .
176 of those recoveries were in East Khasi Hills – 41 among armed force and 135 among general public .
Among the new cases today , 100 cases were reported from East Khasi Hills District which included 92 general public and 8 from Armed Forces .
Ri Bhoi District and North Garo Hills reported 7 new cases each while West Garo Hills District reported 5 cases . South West Khasi Hills , South West Garo Hills and East Garo Hills reported 1 case each .
