Hyderabad , Feb 12 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi sack Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over his alleged remarks on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Targetting Sarma for his comments, Rao asked, Modiji! Is this our Indian culture?. Is this what has been taught in the Vedas, Mahabharat, Ramayana and Bhagavad Gita? I am asking BJP President Naddaji. Is it our culture?”
“You sack him (Assam CM). I am demanding.. Can a Chief Minister talk like this? There are limits. Are you egoistic? Doing tamasha ? You think people will remain silent,” said KCR during his address at a public meeting at Raigiri about 55 KM from here.
Is it BJP’s culture? Is it Hindu Dharma and Indian culture? I am demanding as an Indian. I feel ashamed. This is not good for the country. Do you think we will keep quite with folded hands?, he further questioned.

During a rally in poll-bound Uttarakhand, Sarma had on Friday attacked Gandhi for demanding proof of the September 2016 surgical strike and questioning the efficacy of the anti-Covid-19 vaccines.
Claiming Rahul Gandhi had demanded proof of the success of “surgical strikes” carried out in 2016, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said he had never sought proof of the Congress leader being Rajiv Gandhi’s son.
“What right do you have to demand proof from my Army? If the Army says bombs were dropped in Pakistan, then that’s the end of it. What is the dispute over it . “Do you not have faith in Bipin Rawat? Do you not trust the son of Uttarakhand who works in the army? Have I ever asked for proof of whether you are Rajiv Gandhi’s son?” Sarma told the gathering. Rawat, who died on December 8, was born in Uttarakhand’s Pauri town.
It’s a misfortune that Congress always humiliates the country by questioning its achievements. The party insulted son of Uttarakhand&1st ever CDS late Gen Bipin Rawat by questioning Indian Army’s surgical strike & the country by questioning efficacy of #MadeInIndia Covid vaccine. pic.twitter.com/mvsTXXydRW

Sarma also said Rahul Gandhi’s remark saying “India is a Union of states” showed that the Congress is leading the “tukde tukde gang”, news agency ANI reported.
“Sometimes they (Congress) say that India is not a nation but a Union of States. Hearing all this makes one feel if Jinnah’s soul has entered into Congress. It is only right for their politics of polarisation to end. I think it will end to a large extent after elections in the five states,” Sarma was quoted by ANI as saying.
