Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Aug 24: President of Bodo Women’s Justice Forum(BWJF) Dr Anjali Daimary formally joined the Bodoland People’s Front( BPF) today at a party meeting held at Udalguri in the presence of BPF president Hagrama Mohilary.
Anjali Daimary is younger sister of Ranjan Daimary,founder president of National Democratic Front of Boroland( NDFB).
Anjali Daimary was welcomed and felicitated by BPF leaders including party president and former chief of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Hagrama Mohilary.
Anjali Daimary said that she has joined the BPF to work for the welfare of the common masses in the region.She said that she would dedicate more time for the upliftment of the common masses in the days to come .
While welcoming Anjali Daimary , BPF chief Mohilary said that his party is gaining mass support from various corners ahead the BTC council elections in the region announced that Anjali Daimary will be now appointed as one of party secretaries of the party and hoped that party would get majority support through her leadership in the ensuing polls .
Mohilary has expressed his confidence that BPF would win 30 seats out of 40 member house of the BTC council and form the fourth consecutive council in BTC .
He said that BPF was dedicated towards upliftment and development of the common citizens since it’s inception in the region.
He has expressed unhappiness over the BTR accord and said that the BTR accord was not inclusive accord for all communities those who are living in the region and added that the BTC accord(2003) was much better than BTR accord.
On the probability of Congress-AIUDF alliance in the state,Mohilary said that BPF is a small party,so we cannot comment on their alliance .
“We are always ready to extend support to any party forming government in the state to pave way healthy development and welfare”,he added.
