Covid Surge : 639 fresh cases in Assam on Sunday ; Kamrup(M) 354 cases

Guwahati ( Assam) , April 18 : A total of 639 fresh cases were detected in the state on Sunday out 23300 tests conducted .

Kamrup Metro recorded a total of 354 cases .

The overall positivity percentage is  2.74 %

Meanwhile , State health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma Visited Kalapahar Hospital in Guwahati today to review preparedness and arrangements for treatment of the Covid patients.

He  later tweeted ,”Spoke to Doctors and administrators and assured all help.The system is being geared up to tackle any spike in number of patients.”
