Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Feb 24: Five students from Central Institute Of Technology (CIT ) tested Covid positive today at RNB civil hospital here in Kokrajhar.
They were detected after conducting a RAT test in the hospital .
Out 123 tests conducted in the hospital today five were detected COVID-19 positive.
All the five students are from Sichkna Jwhwlao and Jwhwlao Dwimalu Boys hostel of CIT Kokrajhar.
All the five students have been admitted to RNB civil hospital for treatment.
According to information available the students reached their hostels just few days ago as their semester examination is scheduled to start from March 1 next .
Among the detected students ,one each is from West Bengal, Meghalaya and Tripura and two from Assam(Shivsagar and Guwahati).
The students have been identified as Manas Pritam Saikia from Shivsagar(Assam), Surajit Bose from Coochbehar(West Bengal), Jyotishman Raj Konwar from Guwahati(Assam), Rahul Saha from Agartala (Agartala), Alessandro Syiemlieh from Shillong(Meghalaya).
Meanwhile, the district administration in Kokrajhar has declared CIT Kokrajhar as a containment zone .
