Assam : 2535 fresh Covid cases detected on Tuesday ; Kamrup (M) reports 498

Guwahati (Assam) , Aug 19 : A total of 2535 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Tuesday taking the total number of cases in the state to 82, 201.

Among the new cases , Kamrup Metro reported 498 , Kamrup Rural reported 145 , Dibrugarh -267 and Cachar reported 244.

Confirming the figures State Health Minister tweeted , “📌Alert ~ 2534 #COVID cases detected today out of 44416 tests done in last 24 hours.

Positivity Rate- 5.7%

Kamrup (M)- 498, Dibrugarh- 267, Cachar- 244, Kamrup (R)- 145
