Assam : 1980 new Covid cases reported on Sunday ; Kamrup (M) records 453

Guwahati (Assam) , Aug 30 : A total of 1980 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Sunday taking the total number of cases in the state to 105774.

Among the new cases , 453 cases were reported from Kamrup Metro, 293 from Nagaon , 134 from Jorhat and 107 from Cachar .

Confirming the figures , health minister H B Sarma tweeted “📌Alert ~ 1980 #COVID cases detected today out of 34102 tests done in last 24 hours

Positivity Rate- 5.80%

Kamrup M- 453, Nagaon- 239, Jorhat- 134, Cachar- 107
