Kokrajhar (Assam), June 5 : Two businessman were injured when unidentified assailants shot at them late last night in two separate places of Kokrajhar and Chirang districts.
In Kokrajhar, the incident took place at Narabari village under Serfanguri police station on Saturday evening at around 8.25 pm .
He sustained bullet injuries near the chest. He was first taken to Serfanguri hospital and later shifted to Lower Assam Hospital in Bongaigaon.
According to sources , two armed persons came on a bike and fired indiscriminately on Sunil Mandal(45) .
Two cadres of Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) have been arrested in Kokrajhar for their involvement in the incident .
The arrested have been identified as Uttam Roy (24) of Kachugaon and Mridul Roy (26) of Narabari.
BTR CEM Pramod Boro has strongly condemned the firing incidents in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts late last night.
