Shillong(Meghalaya), Oct 4: Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu today laid the foundation stone of improvement/widening to two/four lane of NH-40 Shillong-Dawki Road at a function held at the State Convention Centre, here . The project will be implemented by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHICDL).
The programme was also attended by Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Meghalaya, Conrad K. Sangma, Chief Minister, P. Tynsong, Deputy Chief Minister , Lahkmen Rymbui, Home Minister, Hamlet Dohling, Soil and Water Conservation Minister, Sanbor Shullai, Arts and Culture Minister, Smti R. V. Suchiang, Chief Secretary, and senior government officials .
The Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari also delivered his speech through a recorded video message.
