Shillong ( Meghalaya ), May 30 : Ankur Das from Shillong secured the 52nd rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2021.
Ankur Das is from Jail Road locality here and alumni of St . Edmunds School, Shillong.
Two candidates from neighbouring Assam have also qualified in the UPSC this year .
In the final result announced today , women candidates have secured all the top three positions.Delhi’s Shruti Sharma has secured the All India Rank (AIR 1),Ankita Agarwal secured AIR 2 while Gamini Singla of Chandigarh secured rank 3.
A total number of 685 candidates have been recommended for appointment out of which 180 have been selected for IAS, 37 for IFS, 200 for IPS, 242 for Central Services Group ‘A’, and 90 for Group ‘B’ Services.
Meanwhile , Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma has Congratulated Ankur Das for securing the 52nd rank in the UPSC .
