Shillong ( Meghalaya), April 1 : Meghalaya Police has been awarded the prestigious President of India’s Police Colour, recognising its outstanding service, professionalism, and commitment to duty. The award acknowledges the force’s efforts in maintaining peace, combating crime, and addressing militancy challenges.
The force has made significant strides in promoting gender inclusion and has received numerous gallantry and distinguished service medals. Meghalaya Police has also demonstrated commendable capability in disaster management and has established specialized units like the Cyber Crime branch and Anti-Terror Squad.
This honour is a testament to the collective efforts and sacrifices of all ranks, both serving and retired, who have contributed to building a disciplined, efficient, and people-friendly police force.
