Shillong (Meghalaya), July 7 : Meghalaya recorded 22 new cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 1 death due to the infection in the past 24 hours.
According to the data shared by the Health department on Thursday (July 7), the state saw a total of 92,369 discharges so far and 1,595 deaths due to the virus , out of total 94,063 cases reported so far .
According to the date , 1 more patient succumbed to his infections in East Garo Hills while one more infection was reported in the district . East Khasi Hills reported 13 new caess , Ri Bhoi 2, West Garo Hills 5 and West Jaintia Hills 1.
The state also recorded 12 recoveries were in East Khasi Hills, 1 in Ri-Bhoi, 1 in South West Garo Hills and 19 in West Garo Hills.
As of now ,there are now 99 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Khasi Hills 58, Eastern West Khasi Hills 1, Ri-Bhoi 9, West Garo Hills 29 and West Jaiñtia Hills 2 .
Meanwhile ,India on Thursday reported 18,930 Covid cases and 35 fatalities. The cumulative caseload is 4,35,66,739 (1,19,457 active cases) and 5,25,305 fatalities
