Shillong(Meghalaya), April 12 : The Government of Meghalaya has clarified that a fake news item circulating on social media platforms declaring Monday , April 14, 2025, as a government holiday is entirely false. The government has not declared a holiday on this day, and all state government offices will function as usual.
April 14 is actually a Restricted Holiday (RH), and the government has urged people not to fall prey to misinformation spreading on social media.

The clarification aims to put an end to the confusion among the people of Meghalaya and ensure that normal functioning of government offices is maintained.
