Shillong(Meghalaya), Sept 30 : Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma announced today that his government has identified and is tackling key issues hindering the state’s growth and development. Speaking at the XVIth Finance Commission meeting, Sangma emphasized that his administration has found solutions to address these challenges.
Sangma acknowledged that his government inherited significant problems, particularly in health and education. However, he highlighted the introduction of the holistic MOTHER program, which has successfully identified high-risk pregnant women and addressed challenges contributing to the state’s previously high Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) – double the national average in 2018.
Under Sangma’s leadership, Meghalaya is working diligently to overcome its challenges and ensure a brighter future for its citizens.
