Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 26 : A member of civil society named “Ka Sur U Rangly Juki” Angela Rangad has strongly criticized the state for wasting crores of rupees in holding various festivals in the state.

Releasing her video clipping to the media, Rangad strongly disapproved of holding mery making activities such as the ongoing “Cherry Blossom Festival ” in the state capital .
She said it is of no use to spend so much of money from the state exchequer in holding festivals once in a year to promote talents and added that it would be better if the money is spent in activities that will bring livelihood to the people.
