Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 28 : Lajong continued their dominance in the SSA Champions Cup 2025 with an 8-0 thrashing of Mawlynrei at the SSA Stadium, First Ground , here . Riborlang L Lyngkhoi scored his second consecutive hat-trick, bringing his tally to six goals in the tournament. Emanbha Marbaniang, Deibormame Tongper, and Babysunday Marngar added to Lajong’s tally.
In another Group B match, Laitkyrhong staged a comeback to defeat Mawkriah West 5-2. Wallamsuk Nongkhlaw scored twice for Laitkyrhong, while Learningstar Warlarpih and Dibinroy Nongspung added to their tally.
Lajong now tops Group B with 6 points, followed by Nongkseh and Laitkyrhong with 3 points each. Mawlynrei and Mawkriah West remain on 0 points. A match between Meghalaya Police and Mawkasiang is scheduled for tomorrow in Group A at 2:30 pm.
