Shillong (Meghalaya), Mar 11: Rangdajied United FC concluded their OC Blue Shillong Premier League 2024 campaign in style, defeating Nongthymmai SC 5-1 at the SSA Stadium in Polo today.
Mebanaibok Kharbudnah (40′), Pasborlang Khonglikong (43′, 64′), and Freddy Jyrwa (54′, 69′) scored for Rangdajied, while Michaelson Kurbah (86′) netted a consolation goal for Nongthymmai.
With their positions in the league table already confirmed, both teams played for pride. Rangdajied finished third with 35 points (11 wins, 2 draws, 5 losses), while Nongthymmai, relegated to the First Division next season, ended with 11 points (3 wins, 2 draws, 13 defeats).
Rangdajied’s coach, Aibanjop Shadap, took the opportunity to test his lesser-used players, fielding a non-full-strength team.
