Shillong(Meghalaya), Oct 28: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma inaugurated the newly constructed Mini Secretariat and Circuit House at Pynursla, East Khasi Hills District. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, Chief Secretary Dr. Shakil P. Ahammed, Minister of Arts and Culture Sanbor Shullai, and other dignitaries.
Describing the projects as a reflection of the government’s vision for efficient governance, CM Sangma said, “The Mini Secretariat and Circuit House at Pynursla symbolize our government’s commitment to balanced development and decentralization of administration.” He highlighted the benefits of the Mini Secretariat, which will provide a one-stop system for citizens to access basic services.
The Chief Minister commended the local community for donating land for the project and expressed gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong for his efforts. “Under the leadership of our Deputy Chief Minister, his constant push and commitment to his area and his people have made this project a possibility,” he said.
Deputy Chief Minister Tynsong thanked the Chief Minister for prioritizing Pynursla in the State’s development agenda, saying, “This will go deep down into the history of Pynursla Civil Sub-Division.” The Chief Minister also mentioned that the government might adopt the design of the Mini Secretariat for similar projects across the state.
