Shillong (Meghalaya), Sep 4: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Shillong successfully held its 13th Convocation Ceremony for the Class of 2025 at Lariti, International Centre for Performing Arts and Culture, here. The ceremony was attended by Paul Lyngdoh, Minister of Arts & Culture, Social Welfare, Textiles, and Tourism, Meghalaya, as the Chief Guest, and Ms. Pooja Ratnakar, NIFT Alumna and Founder of Potli, as the Guest of Honour.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, accompanied by a Saraswati Vandana recital, setting a solemn tone for the occasion. Director of NIFT Shillong, Shankar Kumar Jha, presented the Academic Report, highlighting the institute’s achievements, faculty accomplishments, student successes, and the remarkable journey of the graduating batch of 145 students.
The event marked a significant milestone for the graduating students, who were awarded their degrees in recognition of their hard work and dedication to the field of fashion technology. The ceremony was a celebration of the students’ accomplishments and the institute’s commitment to nurturing talent in the fashion industry.
