Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 23: The stage is set for an exciting clash between Nepal and IR Iran in the Women’s Tri-Nation International Tournament, scheduled to take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Friday. Nepal’s head coach Nabin Neupane expressed confidence in his team’s preparation, stating that they are determined to secure all three points. He acknowledged the strength of their opponents but emphasized his team’s readiness to give their best performance.
IR Iran’s head coach Marziyeh Jafaribaravati, however, praised Nepal’s team, describing them as a strong side. She added that her squad has been working hard to correct its shortcomings and is fully focused on delivering a strong performance, making the upcoming match an exciting contest.
The tournament trophy was unveiled by Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, DD Shira, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, in a ceremony attended by the coaches, captains, and officials of the Meghalaya Football Association. The match promises to be a thrilling encounter between two strong teams.
