Shillong (Meghalaya ), Jan 24 : The 1Oth State Level National Voters Day (NVD) 2020 is being held on Saturday at State HQs Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides here under the theme “Electoral Literacy for Stronger Democracy “.
Democracy Run, ELectoral Verification Programme- EVP champion awards to best District in the state , Best Assembly Constituency, and best BLO will also be awarded during the programme.
Other highlights include voters pledge ,creative presentations by Electoral Literacy Clubs ( ELC) on the entire E 2 E process( Enrolment to Elections) .
The State Electoral Literacy Corner( ELC) will also be inaugurated and will serve as a permanent and continuous learning centre for young and future voters and citizens of the state.
MS Rao , Chief Secretary will grace the occasion as Chief Guest in the presence of FR Kharkongor , Chief Electoral Officer, DC East Khasi Hills and DC East Jaintia Hills, dignitaries, awardees and ELC members.
