Shillong (Meghalaya) , Sept 26 : The state today recorded the highest single- day recovery of 311 taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 3654 .
A total of 54 new Covid cases were detected today which includes 31 from East Khasi Hills District , 12 from West Garo Hills District , 6 from East Garo Hills District , 2 from from Ri -Bhoi District and 1 from East Jaintia Hills District .
Informing this , CM Conrad Sangma tweeted , “Highest single-day recoveries recorded today with 311 individuals recovered from coronavirus in the State.
Total Active Cases: 1515
Total BSF and Armed Forces: 149
Total Others: 1366
Total Recovered: 3654”
Meanwhile, due to the detection of positive COVID-19 cases/high risk contacts which requires contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of the health of the general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in an order issued today has declared the house of Solinda Challam and Amelia Rymbai at Qualapatty as micro-containment areas so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the sites.
The order state that no persons are allowed to move into the containment areas and inhabitants within these areas shall not move out, besides all inhabitants within the containment areas shall strictly remain inside their homes.
