Shillong (Meghalaya), Feb 7 : After a temporary lull for past few weeks , the state today recorded 40 new Covid cases .
Among the new cases , 26 were reported from Eas t Khasi Hills District while 11 were reported from West Jantia Hills District and 3 cases from Ri Bhoi District .

5 patients were declared recovered on Sunday .
The state tally has now gone up to 13, 885 out of which 13 , 601 patients have recovered . The active cases now stand at 137 and the death toll so far is 147.
