Tura(Meghalaya), July 13: A freak accident yesterday, July 12, led to the death of a man in the village of Teksagre under Dadenggre Civil Sub Division in West Garo Hills.
The incident took place at about 5:30 PM yesterday when one Riksal Sangma was struck by lightning leading to his death on the spot.

As per reports, Riksal, a resident of Cherangre under Dadenggre had gone along with his wife to Tesakgre to visit his wife’s sister at about 12 PM.
However, during the evening, while the two sisters were in the kitchen, Riksal, who was outside the house, was struck by lightning leading to the incident.
The family of the victim later took the body of Riksal to his mother’s house in Cherangre.
