Meghalaya : Former Cop dies due to Covid -19 in Shillong ; Death toll 17

Shillong (Meghalaya), Sept 7 : 1 more Covid positive patient succumbed to his infections on Monday taking the death toll to 17 .

71 -year old and former Additional SP , Frazier N Sangma who the Additional SP of Bomb Squad and Special Branch of the Meghalaya Police passed away on Monday ,here due to Covid -19 pneumonia .

Meanwhile , the state registered 29 new Covid cases on Monday .

Among the new cases East Khasi Hills reported 5 cases , West Garo Hills 12 , West Jaintia Hills 3 , Ri- Bhoi , East Jaintia Hills 2 and 1 each from North Garo Hills , South Garo Hills, East Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills .
4 patients were discharged today after full recovery .
