Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 16 : Two more Covid deaths were reported in the state today taking the death toll to 133.
According to information available , Toniak Marbaniang aged 72 years and hailing from Laitumkhrah area of Shillong passed away at his residence on Tuesday morning . The cause of his death was refractory shock with Covid pneumonia, interstitial lung disease, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and hypothyroidism.
Sufola Das aged 47 years and hailing from Tikrikilla, was declared brought dead at Civil Hospital Tura on Monday . She had a history of Type 2 diabetes with hypertension and Covid.
On Wednesday , 65 new cases were detected in the state taking the the total number of cases in the state to 13,072 .
Of the new cases , 57 were detected from East Khasi Hills , 6 from West Jaintia Hills , and 1 each from West Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills .
A total of 66 patients were declared recovered today .
