Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 22: 1 more Covid patient succumbed to his infections taking the death toll to 78 in the state .
According to sources, one more Covid patient, Fullmai Dhar aged 36 years from Nartiang in West Jaintia Hills was admitted to a hospital on Oct 21 and passed away on the same day.

The cause of death was cardiac pulmonary arrest with Covid-19 with acute respiratory distress syndrome and Type I respiratory failure.
Meanwhile , 99 new cases were detected in the state today of which 46 were from East Khasi Hills, 29 from Ri Bhoi and 12 from West Garo Hills .
A total of 307 patients were declared recovered today .
