Shillong(Meghalaya), April 19: One more person succumbed to his infections today taking the death toll due Covid -19 so far to 154.
According to information available ,the persons who succumbed to the virus is a male identified as Nandeswar Das aged 80 years and hailing from Nongrim Hills area of Shillong.
He was admitted at Supercare Hospital here in gasping stage & tested Covid positive on Sunday at 3.20 PM.
The cause of death was due to Diabetes Mellitus with Covid 19 Infection.
Meanwhile a total of 108 fresh Covid cases were detected in the state on Monday , taking the total number of active cases up to 754.
The new cases included 95 in East Khasi Hills district, 07 in West Jaintia Hills district, 05 in Ri-Bhoi district and 01 in East Jaintia Hills district including one death due to infection.
A total of 33 patients were declared recovered in past 24 hours .
