Imphal(Manipur), May 6: Manipur reported 13 deaths, highest single day death toll of the second wave, in the last 24 hours.
In the past 24 hours. 362 persons (192 male, 170 females) from the general population and 18 personnel from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases, according to the Health Department.
The number of active cases in the state has now surged to 2991. As many as 33 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours.
The positive cases from the general population are from Imphal West (170), Imphal East (116), Churachandpur (29), Kakching (23), Tamenglong (5), Thoubal (5), Bishnupur (4), Kangpokpi (4), Ukhrul (4), Noney (1), and Senapati (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases has now reached 33,733 (General Population – 30,109 and Central Security Personnel 3,624). The recovery rate is 89.80 per cent. taking the death toll to 447.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 677 D type Oxygen cylinders and 516 B-type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur, according to the Health Department.
Air passengers who travelled to the state on May 3 by Air India flight AI-3713 in rows 12 18 have been instructed to inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (DSO) for further surveillance and necessary testing.
As per the latest information 2,42,359 individuals have been vaccinated in the state, out of which 73,203 have received the second dose.
