Imphal (Manipur), May 14 : A Manipur man who returned from Mumbai on Wednesday tests positive for COVID-19 today.
A 31 -year old from Imphal east district of the state who returned from Mumbai with a non Covid patient has tested positive today .
He has been admitted to COVID treatment block Isolation ward of JNIMS.
Contact tracing and active surveillance in the containment zone will be done immediately , said Dr.Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang Additional Director and spokesperson health dept of JNIMS.
It may be mentioned that the The first Covid-19 case in the state was a 23-year-old girl , who had returned from the UK.
The second Covid -19 case in the state was a 65-year-old patient who had contracted the disease following his return from the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi’s Nizamuddin.
The first and second case has recovered and has been discharged from the hospital.
