Shillong(Meghalaya), Dec 10 : Lajong has stormed into the final of the SSA Champions Cup 2025, defeating Meghalaya Police 2-0 in the second semifinal. Iohborlang L Lyngkhoi and Deibormame Tongper scored the decisive goals, one on either side of half-time, to send the police team packing.
Lajong’s victory sets up a highly anticipated final against Nongkseh, who earlier booked their spot in the final with a 4-3 penalty win over Langsning. The two teams have a history, having played out a 1-1 draw in the group stage earlier in the tournament.
The final promises to be an exciting encounter, with both teams showcasing exceptional skills and determination. Iohborlang L Lyngkhoi was named the Hello Meghalaya Player of the Match for his outstanding performance. The match will be held on December 13 at 4:30 pm at the SSA Stadium.
