Shillong ( Meghalaya), Oct 14 : The Mawryngkneng Police Station has apprehended four individuals, including two juveniles, in connection with a stolen motorcycle case. The suspects were arrested on Monday, October 13, after a thorough search operation.
The police had set up a checking operation at Mawryngkneng-Kynroh Maram when a speeding motorcycle with registration number AS-01-FY-0871 (Royal Enfield) failed to stop, prompting a chase. The vehicle was eventually recovered, and further investigation led to the recovery of a stolen Alto Tourist vehicle bearing registration number ML-04-D-4797.
The suspects, identified as Gympad, 32, and Behelden Khyriem, 20, along with two juveniles, were arrested from West Jaintia Hills. The motorcycle is believed to have been stolen from Guwahati city, and the Guwahati police will be taking custody of the accused for further investigation.
