Shillong ( Meghalaya), Jan 6 : Former MLA of Umsning Constituency, Jason S. Mawlong and MDC, Donkupar Sumer formally joined into the National People’s Party (NPP) here today .
Welcoming the leader, CM Conrad K Sangma posted “Jason has reposed his faith in the leadership of the NPP to take the constituency forward and is committed to serving it for the 2nd term. Request the people to support him as our candidate for the upcoming elections. We are also happy to welcome Shri Donkupar Sumer, MDC to the NPP family. The joining of these two leaders to the NPP strengthens our reach in the Umsning constituency.”
The induction ceremony of the leader took place in the presence of the CM Conrad K Sangma, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, MLA of Nartiang Sniawbhalang Dhar, State Vice President Donkupar War, MLA of Jirang Sosthenes Sohtun, NPP State Spokesperson Dr Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh, MDC of Mawsynram Alvin K Sawkmie, MDC of Umsning Smt Macdalyne Sawkmie Mawlong, MDC of Mawlai Teiborlang Pathaw, MDC of Jirang Victor Ranee, Block President of North Shillong Ransom Sutnga and Umroi Block President Ngaitlang Dhar.
