Shillong ( Meghalaya), June 17 : In yet another incident due to heavy downpour and landslides in the state , a family of three, including a minor son, lost their lives at Bolsalgre in Baghmara, South Garo Hills on Friday morning.
According to information available , the family of three ,including a minor son, were buried alive in landslide at Bolsalgre .
According to reports, the landslide occurred due to incessant rainfall in the state. However, the bodies have been recovered.
Local legislator Samuel Sangma has written to Disaster Management Minister Kyrmen Shylla for assistance.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has condoled their demise and assured that the Government will release ex gratia of Rs 4 Lakhs to the next of kin of the deceased.
