Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 6: The Meghalaya Football Association (MFA) has announced its decision to debar 25 players, banned by the Mizoram Football Association (MFA), from participating in football-related activities in Meghalaya.
Following an investigation assisted by law enforcement agencies, the Mizoram FA uncovered match manipulation and corruption involving the players, three officials, and three clubs. The bans range from one year to life.
The MFA strongly condemns match fixing, recognizing its detrimental impact on the sport’s integrity. In solidarity with the Mizoram FA, the MFA reaffirms its commitment to fair play and transparency.
