Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 14 : 2 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in the past 24 hours in the state taking the death toll to 100.
According to offical sources ,the first patient was identified as Paritosh Kundu aged 58 years from Lower Babupara, Tura in West Garo Hills. The patient was tested positive on Nov 7 and and passed away at his residence on Friday . He was diagnosed with Covid 19 and old case CVA with Hypertension.
The second patient has been identified as Greetings A Sangma aged 75 years of Sonamite, Garobada in South West Garo Hills. He was admitted in Tura Civil Hospital on Nov 9 and tested positive on the same and passed away on Thursday at around 4 pm. He was diagnosed with Covid-19 pneumonia with hypertension.
Meanwhile , 51 new cases were detected today in the state taking the active cases to 1014 .
A total of 63 patients were declared recovered on Saturday .
The state has so far registered 10,632 Covid cases, including 1,014 active cases, 100 deaths with case fatality rate at 0.94 besides 9518 recoveries .
