Shillong (Meghalaya), April 12 : Wine shops will open in the state from Monday to Friday 9 am to afternoon 4 pm according to an order issued by the Office of the Commissioner of Excise, Meghalaya.

“State government has approved the opening of wine shops and bonded warehouses w.e.f 13/4/20202 to 17/4/2020 from 9 am to 4 pm on the permitted days,” the order said.
The order said that the wine shops would be responsible to deploy their staff to ensure social distancing.
”Only one person per household will be allowed to visit wine shop for the purchase and the movement from one locality to another shall be prohibited”, the order added.
For the areas without liquor shops, home delivery will also be allowed
